Information for Commercial Customers

Hygiene Measures currently in place:

  • Full hygiene measures in place
  • All linen and towels etc washed at 60⁰C minimum per NHS guidelines.

Delicates can be washed at a lower temperature if required, with laundry cleanser added (please advise)

  • Laundry bags must be clearly labelled.
  • Laundry should be in washable fabric bags which will be washed.  We can supply drawstring or hamper style bags if required. Any plastic bags will be disposed of and replaced as appropriate.
  • Please avoid folding items for washing

STAINS

All linen and towels are currently washed at 60 degrees as standard, unless otherwise requested (e.g for delicate/coloured items, or higher temperature wash).  Please let us know if there are any stained items in your laundry, as this requires special treatment and possibly higher temperature washing. We do not take responsibility for stains if we are not advised beforehand.  Ideally stained items should have a note taped to them or be put in a plastic bag inside the laundry bag.

BED LINEN

It is advisable to use hotel grade cotton or polycotton linens in your accommodation.

100% synthetic linen, which are starting to see more often, is not advised.

Fitted sheets which are elasticated all the way around are also not recommended, especially those with very thick elastic.

Plastic poppers or large buttons are not advisable as these can be damaged in our ironing machines.

PLASTIC FASTENERS / ZIPS / SYNTHETIC MATERIAL

Please note that we use commercial flatwork and roller irons which heat to very high temperatures.

We do not take responsibility if any plastic duvet cover poppers are damaged or melted. Hotel style duvet covers are far better for ironing in a commercial setting.

If we see items such as pillow protectors or duvet protectors/covers with plastic zips these will be washed, dried and folded, rather than ironed, to avoid melting.

100% synthetic linen is not advised, and any we see will be also be folded rather than ironed

BATHROBES

As heavy towelling bathrobes take more space in the machines and longer to dry, they are price accordingly.

Lighter, fabric/waffle style robes are more economical to launder and are therefore priced lower.
