Information for Commercial Customers

Please read this information before sending your laundry to us. Following these guidelines helps us care for your items safely and achieve the best possible results.


  • Laundry bags must be clearly labelled, usually with the name of the property
  • We can supply fabric drawstring or hamper style bags if required.
  • Please avoid folding items for washing


STAINS

We wash linen and towels at 60°C as standard unless you request otherwise, for example for delicate or non-colourfast items. Please tell us in advance about any stains, as stained items may require special treatment or washing at a higher temperature. We cannot accept responsibility for stains that have not been identified beforehand. To help us identify affected items, attach a note securely to each item or place the items in a plastic bag inside the laundry bag.


LINEN

We use commercial flatwork irons which operate at high temperatures, so some fabrics, elasticated edges and plastic fastenings may not be suitable for ironing.

For accommodation use, we recommend hotel-grade cotton or polycotton linen.  100% polyester linen is unsuitable for our commercial ironing process; these items will be washed, dried and folded rather than ironed.

We do not recommend fitted sheets with elastic around the entire edge, particularly where the elastic is very thick, because they are not suitable for our commercial ironing process.


PLASTIC FASTENERS / ZIPS

We cannot accept responsibility if any plastic poppers on duvet covers are damaged or melted. 

Items with plastic zips, such as pillow protectors, duvet protectors and duvet covers, will be washed, dried and folded rather than ironed to prevent the zips from melting.


Finally, it is best not to fold linen before sending it for washing, as each item must be shaken out before it is loaded into the machines.


BATHROBES

As heavy towelling bathrobes take more space in the machines and longer to dry, they are price accordingly.  Lighter, fabric/waffle style robes are more economical to launder and are therefore priced lower.


DELIVERY SERVICE

We currently offer a collection/delivery service from Lochinver, and en-route to Ullapool (Inchnadamph, Elphin) with same-week return. We also have a weekly service covering Scourie, Kylesku, Nedd, Drumbeg, Stoer and Clachtoll
